Since April of 2006, Capstone Development has been working on land assembly for development efforts on the 1000 and 1100 blocks between North 3rd and 4th Streets in Downtown Wilmington.  This area, known as Wilmington’s Northern Gateway, is directly across from the PPD headquarters and adjacent to the recently finished 1898 Memorial and the new Memorial Park.  With stunning views of the Cape Fear river and Downtown, this site promises to be one of Wilmington’s most desirable places to live, work and play. 

In late 2007 Capstone brought in its first tenant, Big Thai restaurant.  Their traditional style of Thai cuisine has made them a Wilmington favorite, and their success paved the way for other businesses to open shop.

In early 2009, Alkali Screen Printing opened its doors providing the highest quality screen printing in Wilmington.  Their work ethic and affordable prices has customers coming back again and again.

Our latest tenant, Squidco sells unusual and experimental improvised, composed, rock, folk and other musics from labels and artists around the globe.  Their strong web presence led to them opening a storefront to further server their customers needs.

Working with Romero Architecture in combination with proVision Architecture, Capstone has designed a master site plan to construct 30 new Condominiums and Townhomes as well as 10,000 square feet of Retail space through 2014.  Capstone Development has contracted with Plantation Building Corporation, Urban Engineering, and Amy Tyndall Design to build a three story, three unit building at 314 Davis Street at the intersection of 4th and Davis Streets in Downtown Wilmington.  Construction began on September 24, 2010 with an expected completion date of April 15, 2011.  Pricing for these New Condos begin at $189,900.
